Registering for an Account

Why register?

It is possible to access most of the resources on pmm without registering and we know that this is the most convenient way for most professionals and students to access the material. However, in order to protect our patients, some pages, which involve videos of children, can only be viewed by logged in registered users. This is to ensure these videos are only used for educational purposes. Registering also allows you to take advantage of extra features, such as book marking your favourites and tracking which pages you have viewed previously.

How to register?

If you want to register (for FREE!) to access videos, images and other registered user facilities you need an NHS or UK university email address. (e.g. drwho@nhs.net,  dr.quinn@ncl.ac.uk, h.lecter@cddft.nhs.uk or j.h.watson@doctors.org.uk )

Registration only takes a moment – you simply need to enter your name, email address, job title, and place of work/study then choose a password. If your email address is on our approved list access to this additional content will become available to you immediately.

If your email address is not yet on our approved list you will be added to a list for manual approval by a member of the research team. This usually takes no longer than 48 hours and you will receive an email once approval has been granted. This helps us to ensure the safety of our patients by restricting access to videos and photos to a clinical audience.

If you do not have an academic or healthcare email account but would like access for clinical or educational purposes please email pmm@newcastle.ac.uk providing verifiable information about your work and we will endeavour to help. You can, of course, continue to access most of the website that is in the public domain.
