Josh's Story - Autologous stem cell transplantation

This video tells the remarkable story of Josh - a young boy with severe systemic JIA - and who had an autologous stem cell transplantation procedure. He and his mum tell the story from their perpective and describe the process of being assessed for the procedure and how it was for them as a family. 

The procedure worked well and he has been in remission for many years off treatment. 

The video was made at Newcastle University and includes interviews with Dr Mario Abinun, Consultant Paediatric Immunologist and Professor Helen Foster, Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist and both working at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Trust, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
