Credits

  • We gratefully acknowledge the many people who have been involved during the development of PMM from 2010 and leading up to the launch of PMM in 2014 and subsequent iterations in 2018 and 2022.
  • The PMM programme of work has been led by Professor Helen Foster, Newcastle University, UK and includes the research to inform the content and format of PMM.
  • An unrestricted educational bursary from Pfizer supported research and work to design the PMM and PMM-Nursing platform and engage with our end users to develop the content. Further additional unrestricted educational bursaries from Genzyme, BioMarin and Sobi supported the further development of PMM. These funders have had no input to the content of PMM and PMM-Nursing.
  • We thank Versus Arthritis who have supported the programme of work to develop pGALS and pREMS with research grants and promoting PMM resources on their website.
  • We thank the many colleagues from around the world who continue to support PMM with advice and contributions to the content. This includes many doctors, nursing and allied health colleagues working in paediatric rheumatology, paediatric orthopaedics, paediatric neurology, general paediatrics, community and primary care - both in the UK and internationally - along with feedback from medical students, nurse students, nurses, general practice (trainers and trainees), general paediatricians (consultants and trainees) who informed the content and format of PMM.
  • We acknowledge the support from the Paediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS), Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and Royal College of Nursing (RCN) to promote PMM as a valuable teaching and learning resource.
  • Full lists of Contributors to PMM 2014-2018 and Nursing colleagues for PMM-Nursing are available.
  • PMM was transferred to PReS in May 2022 for long term guardianship and sustainability. The PMM Global Editorial Board will ensure the ongoing ethos of PMM to be free and open to all to support the growth of global paediatric rheumatology.
  • A full list of PMM Global Editorial Board for the content amends for the 2022 revision of PMM is available.
  • We thank our Medical Illustrators - Dr Barbara Salas (who worked on the line drawings whilst as a medical student at Newcastle University, UK) and Mr Ian White who worked on the additional drawings for V-pGALS and pGALSplus.
  • Ethical approval for PMM was obtained from Newcastle University Ethics Committee July 2015.
