Who is responsible for the information on PMM?

PMM was originally created by a team based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

In May 2022, PMM was transferred to PReS (Paediatric Rheumatology European Society) with a PMM Editorial Board to ensure that the content remains relevant and up to date.

How did you decide what information to include in PMM?

PMM and PMM-Nursing have been developed by a collaborative team in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK led by Professor Helen Foster at Newcastle University. We have developed the content from our research with medical students, general practitioners, nursing students, nurses and specialists to find out what health care professionals need to know.

PMM and PMM-Nursing provide the essentials of information, informed through our research and we signpost to more information as needed.

We welcome feedback so please do contact us.

Who paid for PMM to be developed?

The project was funded originally from an unrestricted educational bursary from Pfizer. Further bursaries were obtained from BioMarin and Sobi. These companies had no role in deciding what content should be included.

I want to use some of your pages for teaching. Is that OK?

Please feel free to share links to our pages on social media and teaching presentations. However please do not copy blocks of text or the graphics from the website. Please cite PMM in your presentations - this helps us to increase our reach to others.

I’ve used information from PMM in an essay / article I’ve written. How do I reference to it?

That depends on the referencing style you are using.

See http://libguides.ncl.ac.uk/referencing for an overview of the most common styles. Make sure you have written the information in your own words to avoid plagiarism.
